Job summary

Gills Point S Tire & Auto is seeking a Service Technician in Houlton, ME to help keep customers safe on the road. You will perform tire services, basic automotive maintenance, and inspections, with training provided for those new to the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Automotive or tire experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in an active shop environment.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Team player who enjoys helping customers.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair tires.
• Inspect vehicles for tire wear, damage, and basic maintenance concerns.
• Assist customers with tire recommendations and service needs.
• Perform basic vehicle services and safety inspections.
• Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Help maintain inventory, shop cleanliness, and organization.
• Work as part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
