Job summary

Padnos seeks a Tire Technician to install, inspect, and maintain tires on company equipment. The role involves mounting and dismounting tires, inspecting for flats, and tracking tire histories and conditions.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and willingness to work outdoors. Candidate should be able to operate independently and assist with supervising temporary workers as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Mount and dismount tires.
• Inspect trucks and trailers for flats.
• Transfer tires from storage.
• Removal of scrap tires from axles and transfer to the shredder.
• Record and compile “flats” and “junks” for VP of operations, as well as tire histories, tread depth, mileages, tire evaluations and tires transferred out for reconditioning.
• Requisition tires, rims and parts for repair of tire equipment.
• Supervise temporary workers and assist other mechanics as necessary.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Other duties as required.
