Job summary

World Wide Tires in Houston, TX, is seeking a Tire Technician to service tires on commercial trucks and equipment. The role focuses on proper tire installation, both at service stations and on the road, and maintaining tire inventory.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and a valid CDL; insurability per company standards is required. We offer competitive pay, 401K and stock purchase, plus incentives for performance and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Mount and dismount tires at service station or on the road.
• Proper installation of tires and valve stems.
• Responsible for inventory of tires.
• Flat repairs at service station and roadside.
• Take photos of customer bill back tires, give to administrator with description of failure.
• Report any tire supplies or tools needed to foreman (all purchases are approved through the foreman or service manager prior to ordering).
• Keep track of company equipment and property in shop and on the road.
• Assist porter with keeping shop clean.
• Wash units (if needed after scheduled work hours, with approval of foreman).

Education
