Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring Tire Technicians in Gary, Indiana. You will help with tire sales, removal, and replacement for commercial vehicles both in shop and roadside, while keeping the store clean and safe. Training is provided—no prior experience is required.

This role involves lifting 75+ pounds, working in various temperatures, and rotating day and night shifts. DOT medical card can be obtained with employer support.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Able to lift 75+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.
• Willing to rotate day/night shifts.
• DOT medical card obtainable (paid by Love's).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of tire sale, removal, and replacement for commercial vehicles in shop and roadside.
• Maintain store facility and perform general housekeeping.
• Move, lift 75+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.
• Always follow safety policies and procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule between day and night as needed.
• DOT medical card can be obtained (paid by Love’s).

Job Functions

• Take ownership of the sale, removal, and replacement of tires up to, but not limited to, commercial vehicles in shop and roadside service.
• Be responsible for equipment repair and maintenance of the store facility including general housekeeping duties.
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
