Job summary

Tire City is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service by selling tires and automotive services, road hazard protection, and product features. The role focuses on driving store sales and profitability while communicating repair orders and maintaining a clean, well-merchandised showroom.

In a fast-paced retail environment, you will greet customers, schedule appointments, explain service options, obtain approvals, and assist with payments.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or comparable vocational training.
• Knowledge of computerized sales and marketing software.
• Knowledge of auto/truck tire, lubrication and maintenance issues.
• Experience using Mitchell Repair, Activant, All-Data and vehicle service manuals to research and determine the resolution of malfunctions.
• 2+ years experience in a retail environment, preferably auto/truck tire, lubrication and maintenance.
• Retail customer service and customer relations experience.

Responsibilities

• Promptly meets and greets customers.
• Answers phone and schedules appointments with customers.
• Determines the nature of customer problems; May make road test or visually inspect the vehicle.
• Creates Repair Order Request (ROR) detailing service to be performed or merchandise to be sold.
• Explains warranties, options, pricing, etc. to the customer.
• Obtains customer approval for service before delivering order to service personnel.
• Reviews completed repairs or services performed with customers and collects payment.
