Saia is seeking a tire maintenance technician to support fleet operations by installing and inspecting tires and rims on tractor-trailers. You will remove and install tire and rim assemblies on heavy trucks, use hydraulic jacks, operate service trucks, and inspect tires for wear and inflation.

The role requires reading and understanding instructions, being 18+, and having a high school diploma or GED. A strong safety mindset and readiness to work collaboratively with team members are essential.

Competenze

High school diploma or GED required.
Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
Must provide and maintain personal maintenance tools.
English literacy to read and understand instructions and communicate with team.

Mansioni

Remove and install tire and rim assemblies on class 6, 7, and 8 trucks, trailers, and converter dollies.
Use hydraulic jacks and stands to access the unit and replace tire assemblies.
Operate, lift, move, and store specialized equipment to maintain, inspect, and repair tires or rims.
Repair tires outside the maintenance facility using a service truck.
Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
Dispose of old tires per environmental regulations.
Mount and dismount tires or rims using specialized tire machines.
