Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Service Technician specializing in tire mounting and dismounting for commercial vehicles. You will mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires on semis, trailers, and fleets while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous tire mounting experience preferred but training provided.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires for commercial vehicles (semi-trucks, trailers, fleets).
• Inspect tires, wheels, and valve stems for damage or wear.
• Safely operate tire-changing and balancing equipment, air tools, and lifts.
• Perform flat repairs meeting safety/industry standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop workspace.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Assist with inventory management of tires and parts.
• Provide service and support to drivers, technicians, and customers.
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development.
