Job summary

Sam's Club Bakersfield is seeking a Tire and Battery Center associate to maintain safety, organize the sales floor, and ensure accurate merchandising. You will assist members with tire installation, maintenance, and service decisions using Sam’s Garage, explain warranties, and help prioritize service in the TBC.

You will drive sales through knowledge of tires and batteries, collaborate with the team, and maintain a high standard of customer service and integrity.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Preferred: Auto service industry, Retail Experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility and sale floor safety and standards, conduct safety sweeps, follow forklift and hazardous material handling requirements, and correct or report unsafe situations to management.
• Ensure Tire and Battery Center displays are stocked, merchandised, signed and priced according to policy; manage returns, shrink and damages.
• Assist members with tire installation, maintenance, and service decisions using Sam’s Garage; explain warranties and ensure value for members.
• Drive sales and service excellence by highlighting TBC offerings and collaborating with the team to promote member awareness.
• Prioritize TBC service workflow, coordinate with technicians, and adapt to queue timing to maximize efficiency.
• Operate POS systems, process payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges per policy; maintain documentation and inventory control.
