Are you someone who is looking for a career in automotive, but may not have the training yet? Conrad's is looking for team members who are willing to learn! No experience needed, as well as paid training to help you learn and advance in your new career!
Performs basic inspections, diagnostic and mechanic services for automobiles and light trucks, ensuring optimal customer service and adherence to safety regulations when operating machinery, equipment, and tools. Inventories and requisitions stock and supplies and assists in facility maintenance.
Operates safely and acceptably: tire machine, balancer, lube equipment, flat repair tools, lifts, impact gun, torque wrench, tread depth gauge, grinder/wire wheel, micrometer, flush machines, torches, alignment rack, and all necessary equipment.
Education and/or Experience: Basic services, starting/charging systems, automotive/tire knowledge, maintenance, removal and replacement skills, basic diagnostics.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills and Reasoning: Ability to perform basic math, solve practical problems, interpret instructions.
Regularly works standing, walking, using hands for tools, speaking, listening; reaches, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls; occasionally seated, climbs, balances, tastes, smells; lifts/moves up to 50-100 lbs. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, focus.
Works 40 hours/week, including Saturdays and occasional evenings; travel may be required. Exposure to moving parts, fumes, chemicals, electrical shock, vibration, weather, and noise. Fast-paced environment.
