Job summary

Land Rover Santa Monica, part of the Sonic Automotive family, seeks an Automotive Tire and Alignment Technician in Santa Monica, CA. Reports to the Service Manager/Director; compensation is $21-$25 per hour based on experience.

Duties include completing repair orders, diagnosing repairs, coordinating with parts, road-testing when required, and upholding high safety and quality standards. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation, and casual dress code.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of previous Automotive Technician experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Examine vehicle and diagnose necessary repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards.
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
