Job summary

First Coast Terminals is seeking a diligent TIR/AUTO/Cargo Clerk in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time role involves inspecting, recording, and tagging breakbulk cargo, supervising auto checkers, and ensuring accurate documentation for dock receipts and vessel load plans.

The position requires forklift and equipment familiarity, multi-tasking ability, and a DOT-physical. You will work in a fast-paced terminal environment with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a busy terminal.
• Able to decipher complex alphanumeric coding systems used in cargo documentation.
• Proficient in operating basic equipment and photo documentation tools.
• Must pass annual DOT physical and meet safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, record, and tag all breakbulk cargo.
• Supervise auto checkers and administer auto-to-flatrack assignments.
• Ensure accurate dock receipts and cargo load/reflection in ship plan.
• Complete stuffing sheets for bulk cargo and containerization.
• Inspect and verify trailers, chassis, containers, and cargo for cosmetic and security purposes.
• Lash/unlash cargo and spot containers as required.
• Assist in general housekeeping and safety procedures.
