Job summary

First Coast Terminals in Jacksonville, FL seeks a TIR/AUTO/Cargo Clerk to inspect, record and tag breakbulk cargo, supervise auto checkers, and ensure accurate dock receipts and vessel load plans. You will prepare stuffing sheets, support LOLO and RORO operations, and perform duties as a general laborer during peak times, while maintaining safety procedures and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license required and able to operate in a DOT-compliant environment.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced terminal.
• Proficient in deciphering alphanumeric coding systems and documentation.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, records, and tags all breakbulk cargo.
• Ensures proper/accurate documentation of dock receipts.
• Verifies cargo is embarked on its proper voyage schedule.
• Completes stuffing sheets for bulk cargo containerization or flatrack placement.
• Ensures accurate counts of cargo on vessel and reflects ships load plan.
• Inspects dock receipts and automobile shipments.
• Acts as documentation clerk for flatrack stuffing.
• Fills in for TIR clerks during peak gate times.
• Performs inspections per DOT 49 CFR 396, 17-23 on equipment.
• Inspects cosmetics and security of vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Assists in vessel operations, warehouse operations, and terminal operations.
