Job summary

Oak View Group in Grand Forks is seeking a Bartender to deliver friendly, professional beverage service for our events. This part-time role pays $11.00 per hour and is tip eligible, with benefits including a 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities include following bar pre-shift notes, serving beverages according to regulations, upselling, handling cash accurately, and maintaining a clean workstation. Flexible availability including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Bartending school preferred.
• Accurate cash handling skills required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.

Responsibilities

• Meet the company standard for excellence in guest service and teamwork.
• Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus for service.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all procedures and regulations.
• Learn product varieties and upsell to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly per standards.
• Check IDs to verify minimum age requirements.
• Communicate cut-off times when needed.
• Respond to customer requests or concerns.
• De-escalate intoxicated guests; involve management if needed.
• Restock products as required.
• Manage the issued bank at the bar.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workstation at all times.
• Assist with setting up/breaking down bar equipment and organizing the cooler.
