Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Database Engineer to support Oracle and PostgreSQL databases on AuroraDB across global environments. You will help automate operations, optimize performance, and handle complex issues arising from large-scale deployments.

This role requires 24x7 operational experience, scripting skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable database services for time and attendance and HR applications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment.
• Experience designing scripts to automate operations with maintainability, scalability and security.
• Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide DBA engineering support for Oracle databases built using AWS technologies.
• Design, build and deploy infrastructure using cloud services like EC2, CloudFormation, S3 to support high-performance Oracle DB systems.
• Troubleshoot database performance and production issues in a cloud environment.
• Develop documentation for requirements, test plans, and test automation for Oracle DB services in AWS.
