Job summary

Dal-Tile, a Mohawk Industries subsidiary in Dickson, Tennessee, is seeking team members for the Additional Finishes department. You'll help ensure product specifications are followed, support safety training, and assist in weekly quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Adherence to safety protocols across the plant.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Experience coordinating maintenance and finishes operations.
• Ability to train new hires on safety, quality, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered to.
• Help maintain a safe environment for the Additional Finishes department.
• Follow the Quality Management System, ISO 9001 certified for finishing operations.
• Perform PM, lubrication, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Assist supervisor in coordinating operations of the Additional Finishes department.
• Train new hires on safety, quality policy, and equipment use.
• Work with maintenance team to sustain operator basic care programs.
• Operate loader and unloader machines and perform setup changes.
• Assist in water treatment duties and application of chemical products.
• Complete other tasks as needed.

• Ensures all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered to
• Helps to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for Additional Finishes department
• Follows the Quality Management System, which is certified to ISO 9001 for all finishing operations
• Performs necessary Lock/Tag/Test audits and assists in delivering weekly safety training materials
• Ensures product specifications are followed throughout the Additional Finishes department
• Responsible for reviewing PM, lubrication (type of grease, oil and chemical products)
• Assist the supervisor in coordinating the operations of Additional Finishes department
• Responsible for training of all new hires in regards to safety, quality policy and management systems, as well as operations of all finishing equipment and product knowledge
• Responsible for working with maintenance team to develop and sustain operator basic care programs
• Fill-in and relief responsibility for all Additional Finishes job functions
• Operates loader and unloader machines, changes set-up, and completes basic maintenance tasks
• Assists in water treatment duties and application of chemical products
• Completed other tasks as needed
