Job summary

Dal-Tile LLC is seeking hands-on manufacturing staff at our Tennessee plant. You will inspect tile for defects, load products onto pallets, and operate the palletizing system while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tile for shade and visual defects.
• Discard defective tile into trash hoppers.
• Monitor efficient operation of automated palletizer.
• Perform minor adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Load finished product by hand onto pallets for shipment, including boxes that bypass the automated palletizer and/or partial pallets.
• Wrap completed pallets and band loads as required.
• Scan completed pallets into the auto‑receiving system.
• Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to supervisor.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Keep area safe, clean and organized.
• Promote and adhere to all safety and health policies and procedures of the plant; complete all required training, including ergonomic, safety, health and environmental.
• Identify and adjust workstation arrangement, work practices and workflow to reduce risk factors.
• Report issues to supervisor or manager when unable to control risk factors.
• Report symptoms of injury or illness and concerns when first noted.
• Participate in incident investigation.
• Use ergonomic equipment provided.
• Demonstrate safe work practices.
• Perform other related duties as required.
