Job summary

McIntyre Tile in Healdsburg, CA, is seeking a reliable Quality Control Inspector to support tile manufacturing operations. The role focuses on visual and dimensional inspections to ensure ceramic and porcelain tile quality and consistency.

The successful candidate will document results, participate in process improvements, and collaborate with production to prevent defects while adhering to safety rules and OSHA requirements. This is a full-time, on-site position with room for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; QA certification or manufacturing training preferred.
• 1–3 years in quality control or inspection, preferably in tile, ceramics, or construction materials manufacturing.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, email, data entry).

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished products for surface defects, sizing, color, and warping.
• Verify products meet company specs, ANSI/ISO standards, and customer requirements.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records and reports.
• Report non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with production to prevent and correct defects in a timely manner.
• Monitor kiln output and environmental variables affecting tile quality.
• Participate in internal audits and assist during customer or regulatory inspections.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Unload kilns and pack tiles for shipment following safety and quality standards.
