Job summary

Dal‑Tile is seeking a Kiln Operator to monitor tile through the kiln firing process and ensure efficient operation. You will inspect tiles for defects and record hourly kiln temperatures, contributing to product quality and process control.

The role requires good communication, accuracy in measurement, and ability to follow ISO procedures, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills are required.
• Keep accurate records of measurements and process data.
• Strong listening and observation abilities for process control.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English for safety and operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor movement of tile through the kiln firing process.
• Monitor tile entering and exiting the kiln to ensure efficiency.
• Inspect tile for defects during production.
• Record kiln temperature every hour during shift.
• Collect tile samples for laboratory testing.
• Report issues to supervisor and follow ISO procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
• Participate in safety, ergonomic, and environmental training.
• Identify and adjust workflows to reduce risk factors.
• Perform other duties as required.
