Job summary

Pagan Idol, a tropical bar in the Financial District of San Francisco, is seeking a Barback to support bartenders and maintain the bar area. The role involves assisting with service, restocking, and prep work for cocktails in a high-energy venue.

Candidates should have prior restaurant or bar experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions. CA Food Handler’s certification and RBS training are required where applicable. 21+ and weekend availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant, bar, or hotel industries or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and assist bartenders.
• Must have basic math and calculator skills to measure proportions.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders with daily service
• Maintain overall bar cleanliness
• Prepare batches and other cocktail ingredients
• Wash and organize glassware
• Retrieve and keep adequate levels of bar stock
• Clean as part of opening and closing duties
