Job summary

Swig Bar, San Francisco’s premier live entertainment venue, is hiring a Barback for Thursday through Saturday night shifts. Join a fast-paced team and help keep service smooth, assist bartenders, and ensure the bar runs efficiently.

Experience in a busy bar is preferred; strong attention to detail, basic math, and good interpersonal skills are essential. Must be 21+, able to lift 40 lbs, and willing to obtain a CA Food Handler’s Certification and RBS training.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy bar or restaurant location.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Basic math skills or ability to use a calculator and understand proportions.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• CA Food Handler’s Certification and RBS training required.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders with daily service.
• Maintain overall bar cleanliness.
• Prepare batches and other cocktail ingredients.
• Wash and organize glassware.
• Retrieve and keep adequate levels of bar stock.
• Clean as part of opening and closing duties.
