Job summary

Beach House Hilton Head Island is seeking a Barback to support the bar team and ensure smooth service. You will help with setup, restocking, cleaning, and maintaining a sanitary work area on shift.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy items, and stand for extended periods. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is preferred, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a bar or hospitality setting preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other bar supplies throughout the shift.
• Prepare garnishes and assist in the setup of the bar before opening.
• Assist bartenders by retrieving items, changing kegs, and ensuring ice bins are filled.
• Collect and wash used glassware and utensils promptly.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables, ensuring waste bins are emptied regularly.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a sanitary work environment.
• Collaborate with the bartending team to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
