Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a Welder for the Claypool, IN facility on 2nd shift with flexible hours. You will TIG-weld stainless components, follow blueprints and work instructions to ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of welding experience, and the ability to read drawings, maintain quality records, and work safely in a collaborative production environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year welding experience.
• TIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Weld manufactured parts to print specifications using TIG welding.
• Verify materials and identify appropriate weld materials.
• Monitor fitting, burning, and welding to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion.
• Inspect work pieces and measure to ensure tolerances.
• Create and maintain quality records per the quality system.
• Interpret complex drawings using geometric tolerances.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
• Possess ability to work overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
• Follow safety practices and document data as required.
