General Stamping & Metalworks is seeking a Welder to operate MIG/TIG welding equipment and fabricate metal parts to customer specifications. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and on-time production in a manufacturing setting.

The welder will read blueprints, adjust weld parameters, inspect parts with standard tools, and document results in ERP. A strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• AWS Welding Certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 6+ months manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and adjust weld parameters.
• Basic computer and data entry skills (ERP familiarity preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Read blueprints and adjust weld parameters.
• Inspect pieces with calipers and gauges to ensure tolerances.
• Enter job information and inspection results into ERP systems.
• Maintain safety and productivity standards.
• Report any tool damage to the supervisor.
