Job summary

STERIS is seeking a skilled TIG welder to join a medical device manufacturing team in Mentor, Ohio. You will perform manual TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum components, read blueprints, and verify welds with precision gauges to ensure tight tolerances.

You will layout and prep surfaces, position parts with fixtures, and interpret welding symbols and travelers. A high school diploma or GED plus 1+ year welding experience is required; additional training is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year welding experience in metal fabrication or machining environment.
• 2+ years in a metal fabrication or machining environment.

Responsibilities

• Manual TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum components.
• Manual layout and surface prep for accurate weldments.
• Blueprint and welding symbol interpretation; travelers and work instructions.
