Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of welding experience; preferred certifications include AMS-STD-1595A, NADCAP Level II Inspector, and NAVSEA. Competitive hourly rate of $24.32 and incentive plan eligibility are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year welding experience.
• Basic math related to welding.
• Welding certification per AMS-STD-1595A preferred.
• 2+ years welding experience preferred.
• NADCAP Level II Inspector preferred.
• NAVSEA Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads, assembles, and welds using TIG and GTAW from blueprints.
• Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces.
• Monitors welding, burning, and fitting to prevent overheating or warping.
• Set up to 250 Amp, 32 Volt, 400 IPM wire speed.
• Uses .045 - .052 metal core wire with 90/10 gas.
• Grinds and finishes surfaces to clean, smooth condition.
• Welds vertical, flat, or overhead sections.
• Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and work area.
• Notifies supervisor of faulty equipment or materials.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
