Donaldson Company, Inc. in Dixon, IL is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to read blueprints, assemble parts, and TIG weld using GTAW techniques. You will set up to 250 Amp equipment, work with .045-.052 core wire, and ensure fittings meet specs.

Accurate welding, cleanliness, and safety are essential. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of welding experience; preferred are welding certifications (AMS-STD-1595A) and NADCAP/NAVSEA credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year welding experience minimum.
• Basic mathematics relevant to welding tasks.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to production schedule.
• Reads, assembles, and welds using TIG/GTAW from blueprints.
• Prepares and tacks welds; verifies fit and finish.
• Monitors welding to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion.
• Sets up to 250 Amp, 32 Volt, 400 IPM wire speed.
• Uses .045–.052 core wire with 90/10 gas.
• Grinds and cleans surfaces after welding.
• Welds vertical, flat, or overhead as required.
• Maintains and cleans equipment and work area.
• Notifies supervisor of faulty equipment or materials.
