Job summary

EXPANSIA in Hollywood, MD is hiring a TIG Welder for night shift (2pm–1am, Mon–Thu) to support a Defense Technology initiative. The role requires ability to obtain Secret Clearance and welding in aerospace environments.

Responsibilities include performing TIG welds per project plans, interpreting blueprints, and creating fixturing for production. Candidates should have High School Diploma/GED and 1 year welding experience; CAD tools like AutoCAD or OrCAD are a plus.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
• High School Diploma/GED and 1 year experience as a commercial/aerospace welder.
• Current and valid certifications are a plus.
• AutoCAD for schematics and drawings.
• OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development.
• Knowledge of heat applications to prevent warpage.
• General shop practices: layout, drilling, sawing, grinding.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs daily.
• Must wear approved PPE and work overtime/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG weld methods based on project requirements.
• Read and interpret project plans and blueprints.
• Create fixturing for production welding environments.
