Job summary

Spirax-Sarco Engineering's Chromalox division is seeking a TIG Welder IV to join our production team. You will weld metal components and pressure vessel parts according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders, using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW, and SMAW processes, including open root techniques on pressure parts.

This role requires a one-year certificate or equivalent experience, familiarity with heavy equipment manufacturing, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or 6 months to 1 year of related welding training/experience.
• Experience with GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW, SMAW and brazing; ASME related welding knowledge preferred.
• Ability to perform open root techniques on pressure parts using GTAW and GMAW.
• Ability to read drawings and use measuring devices to meet specs.
• Must pass welding performance tests to meet certification standards.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal parts using various welding processes and brazing when needed.
• Deposit tack welds for fit-up and alignment of work assemblies.
• Use jigs, fixtures, and tooling to assemble parts and components.
• Conduct in-process visual inspections of welded products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Support cross-training and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and maintain shop discipline.
