Job Description

The Dietz and Watson team is currently looking for an experienced TIG and MIG Welder to work in coordination with the shop supervisor and other senior management. The role involves ensuring that all manufacturing equipment is fit and welded according to the specifications of each job and meets outlined requirements. Skills and Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of TIG welding and fabrication
• Extensive knowledge of MIG welding and fabrication
• Strong ability and in-depth knowledge of common welding processes, use of jigs, fixtures, and other template equipment, physical dexterity for welding and fabrication, and blueprint interpretation.
• Competent in general inspection of weld joints and common welding processes. Proficient in most areas of welding fabrication, including:
• TIG, MIG, and STICK welding processes
• Trailer and Tractor Fabrication
• Sanitary welds
• Bridge port
• Lath welds
• Drill press
• CNC welding
• Welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
• Operating safety equipment and practicing safe work habits

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced environment around industrial machinery.
• Cold storage environment with production rooms kept at 32°F or below. Ability to withstand cold temperatures for extended periods.
• Variable noise levels, potentially loud.

Physical Requirements:

• Perform physical activities involving arms, legs, and whole body movements such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• Stand for approximately 80% of the shift (8+ hours).
• Walk throughout the department for about 20% of the shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently with reasonable accommodations.
• Use hands and arms frequently.
• Bend, twist, and squat as needed during the shift.
• Must work in a Safety Sensitive Position.
