Job summary

CTR Cryo in Montgomery, TX is seeking a skilled TIG welder to join our metal fabrication team. You will read blueprints, set up and operate TIG welders, weld stainless steel and aluminum, and inspect welds for quality.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of welding experience, can stand for long periods, and is reliable and detail-oriented. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; mechanical experience is a plus. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform precise TIG welding on various metals (stainless steel, aluminum, exotic alloys)

• Set up, operate, and maintain TIG welding machines, torches, and tools
• Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance per standards (AWS)
• Adhere to safety procedures and PPE; keep work area clean
• Demonstrate excellent hand-eye coordination and problem-solving when welding

Job Summary:

A TIG Welder job involves using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) equipment to precisely join various metals (steel, aluminum, stainless) by interpreting blueprints, preparing materials, operating machinery, and inspecting welds for quality, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, and producing clean, functional metal structures.

Job Description:

• Perform precise TIG welding on various metals, often including stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic alloys.
• Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine project specifications.
• Clean, cut, fit, and assemble metal components for welding.
• Set up, operate, and maintain TIG welding machines, torches, and related tools.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and aesthetic quality, ensuring compliance with standards (e.g., AWS).
• Adhere to all safety procedures, wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean work area.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
