Aerotek is seeking a skilled 6G Welder to join our team in Plano, TX. The role involves setting up equipment and welding parts using arc, submerged arc, gas-shielded arc, and TIG machines, with focus on plumbing systems for heating, cooling, gas, steam, and industrial processing.

Responsibilities include layout, assembly, installation, and repair of piping systems, ensuring compliance with trade and building codes, and participation in ASME IX qualification processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with TIG welding and stainless steel.
• Ability to handle sheet metal and socket welding.
• Familiarity with ASME Section IX standards for welding and qualification procedures.
• Experience setting up and operating a the person 280 machine.
• TIG Welder certification or qualification.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
