Ferco Aerospace in Greenwood, IN is seeking a skilled TIG welder for aerospace fabrication. The role involves welding stainless steel and Inconel sheets from 0.035 to 0.25 inch, reading complex blueprints, and selecting proper materials and weld wire. This is a full-time, first-shift position with benefits.

Candidates must have TIG welding experience and a High School Diploma or GED. Lifting up to 50 pounds and extended hours during peak projects are required; aerospace experience is

Full-time position with benefits is available on 1st shift. Come work for an aerospace business that continues to grow on top of record work levels, a history of investment into the business, and desires to be a world class business.

The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following and possess the following

• TIG welding stainless steel and Inconelsheets 0.035 inch to 0.25 inch thick together to fabricate aerospace parts to customer specification.
• Ability to select and identify the proper materials, including weld wire selection, needed to weld components.
• Prepares materials for welding; cuts, grinds and cleans metal. Utilizes fabrication skills to complete all phases of fabrication.
• Must be able to work from complex and detailed blueprints and/or verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi-task
• Good work ethic
• Willing to learn
• High School Diploma or GED required (Proof will be required)
• Must have TIG Welding experience
• Aerospace Industry experience advantageous

Position Demands

• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and sit for long periods of time on a daily basis
• Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc.
• Able to successfully pass vision screens
• Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
• Perform repetitious duties, such as hammering a part to specification.

Schedule

• Overtime Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 5:30pm, Friday 6:00am - 11:00am
