Job summary

Ferco Aerospace is seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our precision-focused fabrication team, delivering aerospace components to the highest quality standards. You will read blueprints, set up equipment, weld stainless steel and Inconel, inspect your work, and maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting production goals.

This role offers 1st shift and 2nd shift opportunities to accommodate production needs.

Qualifications

• TIG welding experience required.
• Experience welding stainless steel, Inconel, or other alloys preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel and Inconel aerospace components.
• Weld sheet material ranging approximately from 0.035" to 0.250" thickness.
• Set up welding equipment and select the appropriate filler wire, materials, and welding parameters based on job requirements.
• Prepare parts for welding through cutting, grinding, cleaning, fitting, and other fabrication processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, job routers, and specifications.
• Produce welds that meet dimensional, visual, and quality requirements.
• Inspect your own work throughout the welding process and make adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain proper weld quality while working efficiently and meeting production expectations.
• Safely operate grinders, hand tools, and other equipment required for fabrication and weld preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
• Work independently while also supporting the needs of the team and department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
