Core Duties

• Execute TIG welding tasks on various metals including carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
• Analyze and translate welding symbols, schematics, and blueprints into finished products
• Prepare workpieces by cutting, cleaning, and fitting parts to ensure high-quality welds
• Configure and manage TIG welding machinery and associated tools
• Examine finished joints to confirm they meet strength requirements and project specifications
• Conduct necessary finishing tasks like polishing and grinding to improve the final product appearance
• Ensure all welding gear remains in top working condition through regular maintenance
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by adhering to all safety protocols
• Work alongside supervisors and colleagues to help the team reach its daily production targets

Essential Qualifications

• Demonstrated background working as a TIG Welder or in a comparable position
• Expertise in utilizing TIG welding methods
• Capability to comprehend and apply technical specifications and drawings
• Help maintain a safe working environment by applying deep knowledge of welding safety standards
• Exceptional hand-eye coordination and a meticulous approach to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS or equivalent professional welding certification
• Background in working with thin-gauge metal materials
• Knowledge of other welding methods such as Stick or MIG
• Capacity to complete tasks independently with little oversight

Physical Demands

• Capable of lifting weights up to 50 lbs
• Strong manual dexterity and visual acuity

Shop Environment
