Job summary

Hubner Manufacturing in Dunlap, TN is seeking a skilled welder to join our shop floor. Responsible for welding prep, TIG and MIG welds on aluminum, carbon, and stainless steel, and finishing to drawing specs.

You will assist with assembly of hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical components, troubleshoot tools, read drawings, and maintain equipment. Must have HS diploma, AWS TIG/MIG certs, and 3 years welding experience; internal weld test required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• AWS Welding Certification for TIG and MIG with vertical, up, down and horizontal positions.
• Successful completion of an internal welding test.
• Minimum of 3 years welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing to customer drawings and specs.
• Assist assembly of hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical components.
• Support production of passageway systems, testing equipment, small parts, jigs and dies.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and service hand and power tools and machining equipment.
• Interpret weld symbols and mechanical drawings for proper weld setup.
• Maintain fixtures and weld setup parameters; ensure productivity and quality.
• Perform process inspections, documentation, and equipment maintenance.
• Finish grinding applications with hand and power tools; meet output goals.

Job description

• Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
• Assist with the assembly of hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical components.
• Assist with other projects including the manufacture of passageway systems, testing equipment, small parts, jigs, and dies.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and service hand tools, power tools, and other machining equipment.
• Proficient in assigned welding techniques (TIG & MIG – aluminum, carbon, and stainless steel).
• Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology.
• Fulfill company standard times and individual productivity goals.
• Working knowledge of fixtures and weld setup parameters such as amps, volts, etc.
• Process inspection, certification, and documentation.
• Perform welding equipment maintenance.
• Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
• Fulfill output requirements while reducing scrap levels.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.

Educational / Experience Level for Position:

• High School Diploma.
• AWS Welding Certification - TIG/MIG (Vertical Up / Down / Horizontal).
• Successful completion of an internal welding test.
• Minimum 3 years of previous welding experience.
