Responsibilities

  • Interpret and adhere to complex technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to execute detailed welding tasks accurately.
  • Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, grinding, and edge preparation prior to welding.
  • Inspect finished welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion, and perform repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following safety protocols and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production staff to optimize fabrication processes and resolve technical challenges.
  • Monitor welding equipment condition and inventory of consumables, reporting malfunctions or shortages.
