While welding is a major component of the role, it also requires strong mechanical reasoning, finishing experience, grinding, setup, and fixture work.Strong fabrication experience is a must as well. This is a true job-shop environment, so you need to be comfortable handling whatever job comes your way. One day it may be TIG, the next MIG, and the next something completely different.
