Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED with welding experience.
• OR a technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Welding or related field.
• Ability to TIG weld piping.
• Knowledge of welding processes and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Welds, cuts, and brazen metal pieces using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.
• Plans details of work order procedures and gathers required tools and materials.
• Repairs and fabricates items using cutting, burning and welding techniques.
• Monitors welding, burning and fitting to prevent overheating or distortion.
• Prepares, assembles, and tack-welds parts and surfaces to be welded.
• Maintains and cleans equipment and work area.
• Adheres to safety regulations and quality standards.
