Job summary

CJ Bio America is seeking a skilled welder to join our fabrication team in Fort Dodge, IA. The role focuses on pipe welding, field welding, and multiple processes (Stick, TIG, MIG) to fabricate and repair metal components per specifications.

You will plan work orders, gather tools, monitor welding quality, and ensure safety standards. A high school diploma or GED with welding experience is required; an industrial maintenance or welding degree is a plus.

• High school diploma or GED with welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Welds using pipe, field, stick (SMAW), TIG (GTAW), and MIG (GMAW) processes.
• Plans details of work order procedures and gathers required tools and materials.
• Repairs and fabricates items and equipment using cutting, burning and welding techniques.
• Monitors welding, burning and fitting process to prevent overheating, warping or distortion.
• Prepares, assembles and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
• Maintains, organizes and cleans equipment and work area.
• Notifies supervisor of faulty equipment or materials.
• Complies with OSHA, food safety and CJ Bio America regulations.
• Maintains stock levels for spare parts.
• Understands manufacturing equipment processes and data sheets.
