Job summary

Litania Sports Group is seeking skilled TIG/MIG welders for a 2nd shift in Champaign, IL. The role involves welding steel and aluminum, reading blueprints, and setting up welding equipment to meet quality standards.

We offer a 4-day workweek, a $2/hour shift differential, and potential bonuses up to 20%. This full-time, hourly position is based in Champaign, IL with overtime opportunities as needed.

Qualifications

• TIG and MIG welding experience on steel or aluminum.
• Read blueprints and interpret tolerances.
• Able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and work in a drug-free environment.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to work the stated shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and/or MIG welding on steel and aluminum components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
• Set up welding equipment including jigs, gas pressure, wire speed, and amperage.
• Complete welds according to quality, safety, and production standards.
• Inspect finished products for defects and accuracy.
• Perform water-tight welds and occasional pipe welding.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all procedures.

TIG/MIG Welder - 2nd Shift | $20-$25/hr + $2 Shift Differential | 4-Day Workweek

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $20-$25/hour, based on experience and demonstrated welding proficiency

Shift Differential: Additional $2/hour

Bonus Eligible: Up to 20% bonus potential, paid bi-weekly and quarterly

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM (4-day workweek), with overtime opportunities as needed

Position Type: Hourly, Full-Time

What You'll Do

• Perform TIG and/or MIG welding on steel and aluminum components


• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications


• Set up welding equipment, including jigs, gas pressure, wire speed, and amperage


• Complete welds according to quality, safety, and production standards


• Inspect finished products for defects and accuracy


• Perform water-tight welds and occasional pipe welding


• Remove weld splatter and maintain a clean work area


• Follow all safety procedures and company policies


• Move completed products to the next stage of the manufacturing process

What We're Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age


• Proven TIG and/or MIG welding experience on steel and/or aluminum


• Ability to perform continuous welds up to 24 inches preferred


• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances


• Ability to accurately read a tape measure


• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English


• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and work in a drug-free environment
