The ANR County Extension Educator position is an exempt professional staff role within UGA Cooperative Extension responsible for the delivery of the Agriculture and Natural Resources educational programming in Tift County. This position will help with livestock activities. A high level of independent judgment is expected to effectively carry out the essential duties of the job and the incumbent is expected to manage the ANR education delivery by developing techniques and procedures as appropriate. This role works cooperatively with all Extension faculty and staff where applicable and works under the guidance and supervision of the County Extension Coordinator and the District Extension Director.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
Some degree of physical activity to conduct programs (e.g. handling animals, demonstration materials, and audio‑video equipment). Some standing and/or sitting for various lengths of time. Withstand various seasonal weather conditions for outside activities. Travel to various events and competitions within the state and possibly nationally. Occasionally work extended hours (past eight‑hour workday and forty‑hour workweek), including some nights and weekends. Driving.
