Senior Network Engineer – Tier III – MacDill AFB, FL

We are hiring a highly motivated Tier III Senior Network Engineer to support the Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSM-O II) and Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) teams. The role will provide engineering support for new capability development, system assessments, and cybersecurity mitigations for the Joint Network Operations Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier III routing and switching support, designing, testing, and implementing IGP, EGP, MPLS, VRF, and NFV/Service Chaining on an enterprise network.
• Ensure proper routing protocols to optimize end‑to‑end performance across LAN, WAN, CAN, SAN, or data center environments.
• Assist the government customer with identifying design objectives, specifications, and interoperability requirements.
• Ensure system design adheres to industry standards, DOD standards, policies, directives, cybersecurity policies, and best commercial practices.
• Develop presentations and briefings to stakeholders articulating gaps, requirements, and solution architecture.
• Provide analysis on how operational, functional, and performance requirements will be met during design, test, and implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+ce, CCNA Security, or CySA+.
• CCNP Enterprise.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4–8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience.
• Secret clearance.
