Overview

Leidos is seeking a highly motivated Journeyman NetOps Engineer to join the Digital Modernization Sector at MacDill AFB, FL, supporting the Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSM-O II) and Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) team. The role involves new capability development, system assessments, design, and hands‑on engineering support for a diverse technology portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational routing and switching support with hands‑on experience with Cisco Routers and Switches, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, RIP, etc.)
• Troubleshoot routing protocols and end‑to‑end network performance from LAN through WAN to CAN.
• Cross‑train and support multiple technologies in an operational environment, including SATCOM, Voice, VDI/Virtualization.
• Support system adherence to industry standards, DOD standards, policies, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Utilize ticketing systems for detailed documentation of outages and network change activities.
• Provide technical problem resolution for a wide range of network infrastructure problems or anomalies.
• Work 24x7 Network Operations, including 12‑hour shifts as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ce, CCNA Security, CySA+).
• CCNA certification.
• High School Diploma and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Secret clearance.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $59,150.00 – $106,925.00. Compensation is competitive and includes a robust rewards and recognition program.
