Overview

Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is hiring a Journeyman NetOps Engineer in MacDill AFB, FL. The role supports Global Solutions Management‑Operations II (GSM‑O II), Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE), providing en‑route, early entry C4 support to Regional Combatant Commands, Special Operations Command, and other agencies. Responsibilities include new capability requirements and design, system assessments, and hands‑on engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational routing and switching support with hands‑on experience with Cisco routers and switches, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, RIP, etc.).
• Troubleshoot routing protocols and end‑to‑end network performance from LAN through WAN, to CAN.
• Cross‑train and support multiple technologies in an operational environment including SATCOM, Voice, VDI/Virtualization.
• Support system adherence to industry standards, DoD standards, DoD policies, DoD instructions, DoD directives, cybersecurity policies, and best commercial practices.
• Utilize ticketing systems for detailed documentation of outages and network change activities.
• Provide technical problem resolution for a wide range of network infrastructure problems or anomalies.
• Provide flexibility to support 24×7 Network Operations including 12‑hour shifts as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ce, CCNA Security, CySA+).
• CCNA certification.
• High school diploma and at least 5 years of experience.
• Secret clearance.

Compensation

Pay Range: $59,150.00 – $106,925.00. The pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation.
