Job summary

Gravity IT Resources in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Tier III Network Operations Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve complex WAN/LAN, routing, switching, and wireless issues in a hands-on role.

This hybrid position requires strong TCP/IP knowledge, experience with ACI/WAN accelerators, and familiarity with network monitoring tools such as ThousandEyes, SolarWinds, and Wireshark. You’ll join an Agile, small-team environment and participate in on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from a four-year college.
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience, or 6 years with a HS/GED.
• Proficiency in understanding, configuring, and troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex routing and switching issues.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies including VLANs, Ethernet, MPLS, ACI, ISE, and SD-WAN.
• Experience with ACI fabric configuration and troubleshooting (spine/leaf, APICs, tenants).
• Familiarity with wireless standards and security; strong monitoring tool skills.

Responsibilities

• Support internal data networks with a focus on reliability.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and wireless network performance issues.
• Analyze appliances such as firewalls and WAN accelerators.
• Provide timely resolution to trouble tickets.
• Contribute to network improvement initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotation duties.
• Collaborate across all tiers of the operations organization.
