Network Operations Engineer (Full‑time, Hybrid — Charlotte, NC)

Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week

Employment Type: Permanent / Full‑time

Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

About the role

We’re hiring a hands‑on Network Operations Engineer to keep mission‑critical systems online while engineering and improving enterprise infrastructure. You’ll tackle Level 2 support, design and configure network devices (firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers), and contribute to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and cloud initiatives (AWS/Azure).

What you’ll do

• Design, configure, and install network/infrastructure components across the enterprise
• Own L2 incident response and ticket resolution for users in the field
• Operate and tune servers, storage (SAN/NAS), and enterprise backup solutions for high availability
• Contribute to IaC workflows with Terraform; support workloads in AWS/Azure
• Document standards/run books and collaborate cross‑functionally on projects

What we’re looking for

• 4–7+ years supporting enterprise IT environments; calm under pressure in production incidents
• Hands‑on experience with firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers
• Experience with SAN/NAS and backup solutions; performance tuning across network/server/storage
• Working knowledge of Terraform (IaC) and familiarity with AWS or Azure
• Comfort with ITIL service management, plus excellent documentation & communication skills
