Job summary

A leading technology company in Las Cruces, NM, is seeking a Tier II Network Technician to support computer data communication systems. This role involves responsibilities such as installing and maintaining LAN/WAN devices, responding to incident tickets, and providing support to senior engineers. Candidates must possess a TS/SCI clearance and have 10 years of relevant experience, plus strong knowledge in TCP/IP and network protocols. The position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in network technology or a combination of education and experience.
• Must possess TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Support installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices.
• Respond to and resolve incident tickets.
• Provide support to Tier III engineers for project tasks.

Skills

Knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI model

Experience with Cisco IOS

Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience

Familiarity with Layer 3 protocols

Experience with network configuration management

Education

Doctorate with 3 years experience or equivalent

Master's with 4 years experience

Bachelor's with 6 years experience

Associate's with 8 years experience

High School Diploma with 10 years experience
