Job summary

Alaska Northstar Resources is hiring a Tier II Helpdesk Technician for Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role is hybrid remote/onsite, with 1–2 days on-site per week, and requires DoD clearance eligibility and 8570 IAT II certification.

You will handle IT support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain hardware/software while logging activities in the ticketing system and providing excellent user assistance.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a DoD clearance.
• Minimum 2+ years in a help desk or customer-support role.
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software and remote access.
• Experience with ticketing systems and IT service processes.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about installation, operation, and usage of IT products.
• Diagnose issues, investigate causes, and propose solutions.
• Maintain user hardware and software; log events and resolutions.
• Serve as first local contact via phone or email for technical help.
• Perform remote troubleshooting and guide users through solutions.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher support levels as needed.
