Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton’s cyber defense team is seeking a Tier 2 SOC Analyst to monitor, detect, and respond to threats in real time. You’ll work with DoD-focused security operations, review logs, and coordinate escalation and incident response with a capable team.

This role emphasizes 24/7 shift coverage, threat intel integration, and reporting on security events to improve defenses; Top Secret clearance is required; HS diploma or GED is the baseline, with higher degrees a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity alerts in real time.
• Review logs, tool output, and intelligence sources to investigate security events.
• Follow escalation processes and coordinate incident response with the team.
• Prepare reports and informational documents on security incidents.
• Identify improvements and assist in recovery efforts to restore operations.
• Work with the team to understand attackers’ goals and mitigate threats.
