Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Tier 2 Network Administrator to coordinate with the Network Operations Center and staff for break/fix, configuration changes, and upgrades across enterprise routers and switches. You will supervise ticket resolution, document technical resolutions, and contribute to SOPs for network operations.

The role emphasizes independent problem solving in challenging environments, with experience in routing protocols, Cisco ISE, and TACLANES devices.

Qualifications

Requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD with the stated experience levels; other combinations may be considered.
Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, or 802.1x).
Experience with Cisco ISE.
Knowledge of KG-175 TACLANES configuration and firmware upgrade procedures.
Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper network devices.
Active IAT Level II Certification.
Active CCNA Certification.

Responsibilities

Conduct approved network changes including VLAN, ACL and port assignments.
Perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches.
Upgrade routing and switching equipment to ensure continued enterprise operations.
Draft SOPs for network operations.
Resolve network failures and accessibility problems within the network.
Support site survey and engineering designs data calls.
Support new/enhanced network implementation and technical refresh projects.
Work independently with some supervision; in remote locations act as independent engineer/maintainer.
Perform root cause analyses and incident resolutions; research errors and problems.
Review and implement STIGs for security compliance.
